Man proposes using GPS
It seems there is no lack of creativity when it comes to romantic gestures by Chinese men to propose to their girlfriends. One man, surnamed Zhang, proposed by spelling out "Marry Me" on the map, and showing his girlfriend the words on a GPS tracker, reported the Beijing Morning Post.
The 30-year-old Shanghainese made the sudden decision to quit his job and take his girlfriend on a road trip last year.
When they completed their journey in March, Zhang presented the map of their journey with their route plotted out by a GPS tracker, and it spelled out "Marry Me", surrounded by a heart on Baidu Maps.
He had planned the entire route beforehand in order to surprise his girlfriend at the end.
His romantic gesture, in the form of a 23,007-kilometer journey across southern China, was certainly enough to win the girl over, and she accepted his proposal.
