A green surprise amid the snow
City planners are always racking their brains to beautify their cities. But the planners of Jilin, in Northeast China's Jilin province, resorted to unusual measures to bring a splash of green to the subzero temperatures of the city.
Green plants were spotted along Jilin Avenue on March 15, but, to people's surprise, they are actually made of plastic, chinanews.com reported.
"Though the plants look a lot like vegetables, they are not edible, which, I think, is a bit of a waste," said a resident.
