Self-service machines make our lives more convenient, but when they fail to please their customers, they can be vulnerable to abuse.
An ATM was damaged by a 33-year-old man, surnamed Hu, who cut a hole in the machine with a hoe to steal the cash inside in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, on March 9, Chinanews.com reported.
In another case, a man in Shanghai damaged the screen of a ticket-selling machine because it was malfunctioning, a microblogger, named beitongjidetidu qiqi090627, reported.
