Zebra crossings are supposed to help people cross roads safely. However, a strange combination of three zebra crossings strands pedestrians in the middle of the road in Chenzhou, Central China's Hunan province.

The three zebra crossings converge on a flower bed at the center of an intersection dfic.cn reported on March 1.

In order to obey traffic rules, pedestrians would have to walk around it or take a "flying jump" to reach the other side of the road, the report cited locals as saying.

The report said zebra crossings like this pose safety risks to pedestrians and reminds the relevant departments to avoid such mistakes.
