A super dragon lantern is poised to be named the world's longest lantern and is set to be certified by the Guinness World Records, in Changsha, capital of Central China's Hunan province, on Monday.
The 1,200-meters-long and 12-meters-tall lantern has been built on the Orange Island in the middle of the Xiangjiang River as part of a local lantern fair. More than 100 tons of steel was used in its construction and it is decorated with about 36,000 bulbs.
