Run, ostrich, Run!
Ostriches may be the fastest birds in the world. But how do they measure up on an expressway?
An over-two-meter high, 75 kg ostrich accidentally crashed into an expressway in Jinhua city, Zhejiang province on Monday, reported Modern Gold Express.
It ran on the side of the road and kept racing with passing trucks. As expected, the bird could not keep up with the vehicles. Exhausted after its long run, the ostrich was rescued by a team which came to lead it off the highway.
The rescuers accompanied the bird, which rested on the side of the road until it became willing to walk to a safe place. The ostrich was reportedly bred by a villager.
