Anger over principal's student haircuts

About 20 students, whose hair was deemed too long or inappropriately styled, received impromptu haircuts by their principal in Wuzhou city, in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, Qianjiang Evening News reported on Tuesday.

The principal has since become the target of much heated discussion and criticism labeling him too aggressive and with no right to do so.

The principal claims he knows how to cut hair and only performed "two clips" of their hair to demonstrate what he believes should be the proper length of a student's hair. He said they could later have their hair cut in a barber's shop.
