Wi-Fi network extends to 9,000 buses
Bus passengers can surf the Web for free on more than 9,000 of the city's buses thanks to the installation of Wi-Fi devices in the vehicles, Beijing Morning Post reported on Sunday. The service will be expanded to another 22 cities across the nation by the end of this year, including Kunming, Changsha, Nanjing.

Albino looks are not welcomed in hunting jobs
A woman majoring in international trade in Hangzhou, with excellent grades, multiple awards and skills is seeking a job but has been rejected by several companies because she is an albino, Xinhuanet.com reported on Monday.
With a low expectation on jobs, she still can't find any companies willing to hire her. Many firms wrongly assume she has some serious illness and will be unable to work. She said her unique looks cause misunderstandings all the time, but she will not give up the job search. Healthwise, being an albino only means she has poor eyesight and with her very pale skin, can't do much sunbathing.

Fang Zhouzi reports on Luo Yonghao again
Famed Chinese fraud fighter Fang Zhouzi has reported that Smartisan Technology, whose CEO and founder, Luo Yonghao, is suspected of false advertising related to the Smartisan T1, should be investigated and punished by the Administration for Industry & Commerce in Chaoyang District in Beijing, according to tech.ifeng.com on Monday.
Fang Zhouzi said in Smartisan's ads, expressions like "the most user-friendly smartphone in the Eastern Hemisphere", "the world top design", and "everything is the best" violate the related regulations of the Advertisements Law. Fang and Luo have faced each other several times in past reports.

Lesbian wedding held in Lanzhou
A lesbian couple held a public wedding in Lanzhou, capital of Northwest China's Gansu province, on Sunday and finally received the blessing of their parents and relatives, Lanzhou Morning News reported.
The couple, who pledged to share their future, has been in love for three years. Same sex marriage is not legal in China, meaning the marriage is not officially certified.
"No matter what their sexual orientation is, a couple's marriage should be accepted and blessed as long as both sides are really in love," said a relative, surnamed Li.

Man locks self in room after ATM swallows card
A man in Nanjing was criticized by police for locking himself in a room containing an ATM on Friday after the machine failed to return his card. The incident was due to a power cut on Friday night, and as the customer knew that bank employees could only help him retrieve his card the next morning, he feared he would lose money from his card and locked the room. He was found by police the next morning.

A man in Beijing filed a lawsuit that seeks compensation for his medical bill, plus 2,400 yuan ($385) for a basketball-game ticket, after he said he was injured by a taxi and missed the game, Beijing Times reported on Sunday. The man, identified only by his surname, Zheng, said he was riding an electric motorbike on his way to a finals game of the Chinese Basketball Association on March 23 when a door of a taxi beside him suddenly opened and knocked him to the ground.

Cleaner finds gun under policeman's pillow
A hotel cleaner in Heijiang county got more than she bargained for when she found a handgun under a pillow in a room occupied by a police officer, West China Metropolis Daily reported. The county police bureau said Xu Jiang, the police officer, left his handgun under the pillow for more than two hours when he left the hotel to visit a friend.

A 1,000-year-old tree damaged by tourists
A video monitor shows that an endangered tree, more than 1,000 years old, has been damaged by tourists. Tourists have peeled away at the tree little by little, leaving only its trunk skin left in Wuyuan, East China's Jiangxi province, said CCTV(China Central Television) official weibo account on Saturday.
Multiple tourists have torn the redwood's branches off when there was nobody around. The video aroused heated discussion, with people saying that this behavior is intolerable and more protection for ancient trees should be taken.
