Two 5-year-old girls were accidentally run over by an SUV and killed on Sunday afternoon, while playing by the road in a residential area of Shenzhen, Guangdong province.
The driver of the SUV was reversing the car and did not notice the girls. The driver is being held for investigation.
Blind date on train
A group blind date was held during the 24-hour train ride from Shenzhen, Guangdong province, to Zhengzhou, Henan province, on Wednesday.
Henan province, the organizer, encouraged young people to exchange contact information with each other and gave them small gifts.

A man slept naked on Beijing's Subway Line 10 on Friday, making passengers on the same train uncomfortable.
The man, who was about 30 years old and completely drunk, was detained by the police.
Statue moved over controversy
A statue depicting a story from Water Margin, one of China's four classic novels, was moved from a shopping mall where it was exhibited after it caused some controversy.
The statue was supposed to be an anecdote about Wu Song attempting to kill his sister-in-law Pan Jinlian, but Pan is half-naked and standing with Wu Song cheek to cheek, which was criticized as pornographic and violent, and totally different from the original work.

Former gymnast returns to busking
Wearing an old uniform of the national gymnastics team and performing handstands and rolling over on Beijing's subway, former gymnast Zhang Shangwu started busking again after giving up a job that offered a monthly salary of more than 10,000 yuan ($1,653).
Zhang, a gold-medal winner at the 2001 Beijing Universiade, retired because of injuries. He was reported busking on the subway in 2011 and was invited to run a business.

Scavengers return gold
A couple who scavenge for a living in Changchun, Jilin province, found two boxes of gold necklaces and rings and returned them to the owner, head of a jewelry store in the city.
The gold weighs more than three kilos and is worth 810,000 yuan ($133,893).
No goldfish delivery
A goldfish seller in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, mailed two precious goldfish, worth a total of 1,450 yuan ($240), to a buyer in Fuzhou, Fujian province, through Shentong Express.
However, the buyer never received the fish, until a courier told the seller that the express company was holding the fish in their own pond.
The seller and the express company finally reached an agreement, and the company kept the fish after paying 1,450 yuan to the seller.

Wrong account
A 24-year-old businessman in Chengdu, Sichuan province, received 2.4 million yuan ($396,720) in his bank account from unknown source. He could not fall asleep at night for fear of being involved in money laundering.
The man called the police, and the police found the money was deposited to the wrong account by mistake.
