The father of the 10-year-old girl in Chongqing who attacked a baby told the media that he and his wife will spend more time with the girl to try to give her a happy life.

The girl attacked an 18-month-old baby boy in late November, causing the toddler to fall 25 stories. Police could not file criminal charges because of the girl's age.

Yao Jingyuan, former chief economist at the National Bureau of Statistics, criticized China's banking system during a summit about the economic blueprint of China and the world held on Saturday in Nanjing.

"Banking in China is like the road toll system, they charge every time the money goes through the banks. With this operation model, the banks will make money even if all bank presidents go home to sleep and we put a dog in their seat," Yao said.

Dating website Jiayuan.com revealed that they put more than 200,000 users on a blacklist every month because of increasing marital fraud.

The website helped police arrest more than 100 swindlers in the past year. One of the swindlers cheated a woman out of 7 million yuan ($115,306), telling her that he needed to borrow the money to build a new canal in Singapore.

Another infant in Sichuan died after getting a hepatitis B vaccine injection, and family members suspected the vaccine was the cause.

This is the seventh death possibly related to the vaccine since November. The vaccine in all seven cases was made by Shenzhen-based Biokangtai.

Actress Sammi Cheng and pop singer Andy Hui secretly married in late November, Hong Kong media reported.

Cheng and Hui had a relationship going back as long as 22 years, with several breaks. In 2011, rumors said the two were reconciling and got married, but both denied the news.
