The official death toll in Hainan province and the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region was raised to 10 on Tuesday after Typhoon Haiyan grazed the coast of southern China, with millions affected, China daily reported citing local civil affairs authorities.
People from Sanya city of Hainan province told terrifying accounts of a 49 kg woman being lifted up by gale, who was held down by a nearby person and avoided being taken away by the monstrous wind, dbw.cn reported.
