Two female foreign students, one from France and one from Indonesia, were severely injured on the head after a man from Central China's Anhui province attacked them with a hammer on a Shanghai street.
The victims, both in their twenties and studying at Shanghai University, were in serious condition. The assailant admitted he does not know them but committed the violence randomly.
