Shunyi launches winter tourism fest

Beijing's Shunyi district kicked off a two-month winter tourism campaign on Dec 17.

It launched six routes, featuring family travel, fruit picking, health preservation, shopping and leisure.

Hot springs, a folk culture park and industrial tourism are among the allures.

More than 600 gifts with local elements will be offered.

The event hosted by Shunyi's tourism commission is the second session this year. It's part of the local government's efforts to transform Shunyi into an international destination for fashion, leisure, shopping and tourism.
