The Yad Vashem, or Holocaust Martyrs and Heroes Remembrance Authority, pays tribute to the Jews killed during World War II.

The best time to travel is between September and June.

A simplified visa policy and convenient transportation have helped fuel the enthusiasm of Chinese tourists.

Bental says that as of now, an individual travel visa can be granted in five working days, adding that a 10-year multiple entry visa for Chinese tourists is likely to be launched in future.

The Israeli airline El Al now has direct flights connecting Beijing and Tel Aviv three times a week.

Hainan Airlines also officially announced in September the starting of a direct flight between Beijing and Tel Aviv from April 28, 2016.

Bental says that the flight will carry more Chinese tourists and businessmen to Israel.

For souvenirs, there is red wine and Dead Sea skin-care products and-for the more affluent-diamonds.

8-day tour in Israel

Tourists can visit Nazareth and Tiberias, sites mentioned in the Bible, and savor a tilapia known as "St. Peter's Fish".

They can also experience the charm of the Baha'i Gardens, a tranquil memorial to the founders of the Baha'i faith, in Haifa.

In Jerusalem, tourists can walk in the footsteps of Jesus through the Stations of the Cross and see Jews praying at the Wailing Wall. The light show at the Tower of David will give visitors a taste of the city's history.

A tour of Tel Aviv will give tourists a feel for the modern side of the country.
