The Forbidden City in Beijing, Feb 27, 2014. [Photo/Xinhua] Shanghai initiated the 72-hour visa-free policy, which took effect on Jan 1, 2013. Tourists from 45 countries holding third country visas and plane tickets can apply for transit without a visa at Beijing Capital International Airport. The 45 countries were listed according to the numbers of inbound overnight visitors in Beijing from 2009 to 2011. |
