Qantas has opened up a new pathway to South America for customers in Hong Kong, with launch fares available to Santiago via Sydney, starting at HK $13,500 ($1742) for a return flight. By choosing to fly east with Qantas, Hong Kong travelers can, for the first time, reach Santiago in just over 26 hours with only one stop, compared to an average of 29 hours when flying through European hubs.
