Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality expands presence in China

Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality, the joint venture between Diaoyutai State Guesthouse and MGM Resorts International, signed two new projects – The Diaoyutai Kunming and China Holiday - Ninbo Hangzhou Bay Project, a grand entertainment and themed resort, with real estate developer and local government in Kunming and Ningbo.

The Diaoyutai Kunming will be located in the World Horticulture Expo site in the capital city of Southwest China’s Yunnan province, echoing the splendor of Kunming, which is touted as China’s spring city, demonstrating the Diaoyutai’s profound brand essence as China’s highest standard service venue for hosting foreign heads of State.

The China Holiday – Ningbo Hangzhou Bay Project is committed to creating a unique tourist destination, elevating the vacation experience in Ningbo, one of the most vibrant coastal cities in East China.

In another development, the fourth quarter of 2013 will see the grand opening of first ever Diaoyutai Boutique hotel – the Diaoyutai Boutique Chengdu, which is located in the stylish scenic spot – the Kuanzhai Xiangzi, or Broaden and Narrow Alley, in Chengdu, the host city the “Fortune Global Forum” this year.

Designed by the legendary French designer Bruno Moinard, the complex consists of two courtyards with a total floor space of 16,000 square meters, featuring 45 unique guestrooms, all-day dining restaurant, elite club, multi-function hall and a Chinese restaurant, where a signature State banquet cuisine will be offered by Diaoyutai State Guesthouse chef team.

Up till now, Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality has signed 11 hotel and mixed-use projects in China, covering eight major cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Sanya, Chengdu, carrying the four luxury brands namely Diaoyutai, Bellagio, MGM Grand and Skylofts.
