The 7th China Cruise Shipping summit will be held during Sept 8-10 this year in the coastal city of Tianjin. "Voyager of the Seas", topping Asia and one of the ten largest cruise liners around the world, is scheduled to set sail from the Tianjin International Cruise Home Port during the summit.

"The cruise serves as more than a vehicle for transportation," said Li Peisheng, deputy secretary general of Tianjin municipal government. "It is a tourism destination, and tourists can get access to facilities of dining, accommodation, travelling and shopping."

"Voyager of the Seas", a cruise ship of Royal Caribbean Cruises, is able to carry 3,840 passengers. There are five restaurants, three swimming pools, a four-storey-high grand lobby, a spectacular opera house which can accommodate 1,350 guests to watch classical musicals, and a promenade for strolling on the fifth floor.

The promenade is designed as a 130-meter long pedestrian mall, the first of its kind in cruise history, and is crowned as the largest duty-free shopping street on the sea in Asia.

In addition, fitness center, golf course, wall for rock climbing fans, skating rink, casino and bars are all available on the ship. Parties themed with cartoon stars from popular movies such as Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar are expected to bring fun to kids.

On the day of the liner's launch, citizens may have chance to board the ship and visit the "Removable five-star resort".

The Tianjin Dongjiang International Cruise Home Port, which the "Voyager of the Seas" will embark, was put into use in June of 2010, and has received 56 entry ships since then.

The home port is expected to receive 500,000 passengers and ship crews by the end of 2015, according to Yang Shihao, a deputy head of Tianjin Binhai New Area.
