Areial view of Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang

Photo taken on March 6, 2012 shows Vairocana Buddha, the largest Buddha statue, at the Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang, central China's Henan province. The Longmen Grottoes, one of the finest examples of Chinese Buddhist art, house tens of thousands of statues of Buddha and his disciples within 2,100 caves. In 2000 the site was inscribed upon the World Heritage List of the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). [Photo/Xinhua]
