Romania among top destinations for adventure travel

Romania was nominated among the ten most attractive emerging countries for adventure travel, the official Agerpres news agency reported Tuesday citing a U.S. survey.

The ten countries, namely Israel, Slovakia, Chile, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Jordan, Romania and Latvia, were chosen from a pool of 160 candidates in the third annual survey conducted by the George Washington University in the United States.

Safety, natural resources, tourist facilities, infrastructure, the population's entrepreneurial spirit and the friendliness of the hosts were the major factors taken into account in the survey.
