Dharma Festival begins in Tibet

At the opening ceremony, the number "60" commemorates the peaceful liberation 60 years ago. The Dharma Festival begins in Gyangtze, Tibet autonomous region on Aug 18, 2011. Horse racing, yak racing, tug-of-war and bonfire party are part of the one-week festival, which has a history of over 600 years and was listed as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.[Photo/Xinhua]
