Coffee adds years to life
Drinking coffee can add years to your life, according to a new study, foreign media reported.
据外媒报道,最新研究显示,喝咖啡能令人延年益寿。
Too much caffeine used to be considered unhealthy, but the study found that the more coffee consumed, the less likely people were to die from heart and respiratory disease (呼吸疾病), stroke, diabetes (糖尿病) and infections. "Coffee could be [working by] affecting blood pressure," said Dr Neal Freedman of the National Cancer Institute in UK. "It is possible that different compounds in the coffee are important."
过去,人们总认为太多咖啡因不利于健康,但这项研究发现,咖啡喝得越多,人们死于心脏病、呼吸道疾病、中风、糖尿病和传染病等病症的几率越小。英国全国癌症研究所的弗里德曼医生称:"咖啡可能是通过影响血压发挥效用的。咖啡内不同的成分可能非常重要。"
