PM2.5首成雾霾预警标准

PM2.5 is smog indicator  

The average concentration of PM2.5 has for the first time become one of the indicators for smog alerts, according to a new regulation on smog alert that has been modified by the weather forecast and network office under the China Meteorological Administration.

据中广网报道，28日，中国气象局预报与网络司针对雾霾预警信号标准进行了修订，首次将PM2.5作为发布预警的重要指标之一。

The alert is classified in 3 levels – Yellow, Orange and Red – in accordance with the gravity of the smog. The smoggy weather that has choked many regions including Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei affected a total area of 1.3m sq km, according to Tuesday's monitoring by the Ministry of Environmental Protection. It was the 4th round of heavy smog to hit Beijing in 4 weeks.

此次修订将霾预警分为黄色、橙色、红色三级。根据环境保护的监测，29日，包括京津冀在内的多个省份和地区遭受雾霾天，全国雾霾面积达130万平方公里。这也是北京本月遭受的第4轮雾霾天。
