Shanghai pride film fest

Expect some shocking and thought-provoking material at this partly entertainment-driven, partly educational film festival as Shanghai Pride celebrates its sixth year. It is being held in collaboration with several European consulates-general. The focus this year has shifted more to Chinese films. It also includes a night for exports from Denmark.

Find your inner flamenco

The annual La Feria festival in southern Spain celebrates flamenco dancing, but you don't need to travel that far to enjoy the fun. You can kick up your heels at the rooftop bar Fez beginning at 6 pm for a party also sponsored by Agua and the Beijing flamenco school Portacones. The Bollands party

Husband-and-wife folk duo The Bollands is celebrating the release of its second album Paper Houses this week in Hong Kong. The musical couple met in their native New Zealand and in 2009 formed their act, which brings high energy and foot-stomping good times.
