As a 28-year-old from Shenzhen, Zhou Ziqian biked nearly 30,000 kilometers over 400 days. As he rode around China, Zhou promoted Universiade, China's collegiate-level athletics competition. On the way, he not only took pictures of 2,011 smiling people holding a UU, the Universiade mascot, but also met a lot of interesting people and had many fascinating encounters. Zhou says the trip changed the way he views life.

About Shenzhen

Shenzhen is located at the southern tip of the Chinese mainland on the eastern bank of the mouth of the Pearl River and neighbors Hong Kong.

The brainchild of Deng Xiaoping, the country's first special economic zone was established here by the Chinese Government in 1980. It has been a touchstone for China's reform and opening-up policy since then.
