Ye Lifang, deputy manager of the accommodation service department at the Guangzhou Baiyun Hotel, says a substantially smaller number of athletes would not make a difference to the hotel's quality of service.

"We will have to work even harder during the Asian Para Games," Ye said when comparing the event with the recently-concluded Asian Games.

"We will have to work with our hearts to serve the special athletes attending the para games, listen attentively and care tenderly for our customers," Ye said.

Through the quality of service, Ye was widely praised by athletes and officials from all over Asia during the 16th Asiad.

A Pakistan team official said he hoped the next Asian Games would also be held in Guangzhou.

"I was really happy when I heard his special praise," Ye said.

Ye is now a service manager in the Athletes' Village at the para games.
