BEIJING - China's Olympic silver medalist Wu Dajing was quite in style as he won the men's 500m at the ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Cup in Seoul on Saturday after claiming two gold medals last week in Shanghai.
Wu, who won the 500m and 1,000m in Shanghai, led from the beginning to win the 500m in 40.559 seconds, while China's Ren Ziwei ranked fourth.
According to the official website of the International Skating Union (ISU), Wu overtook Samuel Girard of Canada - who did not advance from the quarterfinals - to claim the World Cup 500m overall crown.
Ahead of the PyeongChang Olympics, the 23-year-old sounded a warning to his rivals, saying "I hope to get more gold medals to raise my confidence."
In the men's 1,500m final, China's Han Tianyu finished fifth, while Shi Jingnan failed to reach the final. China's Han Yutong also took fifth place in the women's 1,500m final.
The World Cup Seoul was the last qualifier for the Pyeongchang Games.
