ROME - Vincenzo Montella has been appointed Serie A side AC Milan coach on a two-year deal, the club said on Tuesday.
Montella left Sampdoria to replace Cristian Brocchi, who resigned Monday.
Milan is expected to pay Sampdoria a release fee of about one million euros for the 42-year-old.
AC Milan is reported to be on the verge of changing ownership as a pool of Chinese investors are interested.
China's retail giant Suning Group acquired 70 percent stake in AC Milan's crosstown rivals Inter early this month.
