BUENOS AIRES - Argentine soccer player Lionel Messi suspended on Thursday his training because of flu, but it will not impede him to play on Saturday against Germany for the semifinals place.
"Messi woke up with strong flu and we decided to stop his training," doctor of the Argentine team, Donato Villani, said.
Villani told the press that Messi "has the flu," but he will not have problems for playing on Saturday.
Argentina will face Germany in Cabo City in a quarterfinal match to get the ticket for the semifinals.
Diego Maradona, coach of the team, will repeat the same squad he used winning 3-1 over Mexico during the second round of the South Africa World Cup.
