GUANGZHOU - South Korean swimming icon Park Tae Hwan won the men's 200m freestyle at the Guangzhou Asiad here on Sunday.
Park, Beijing Olympic champion in the 400m freestyle, led throughout the race to clock one minute and 44.80 seconds, breaking his own Asian record of 1:44.85.
Chinese teenager swimmer Sun Yang finished second in 1:46.25, while Japanese Takeshi Matsuda took the bronze in 1:47.73.
Hosts' favorite Zhang Lin, world champion of the 800m freestyle in Rome 2009, finished fourth in 1:48.10.
