GUANGZHOU - An Asian Games themed album of "Scenic Splendour of China" was recently released by Wanxinda Culture Dissemination International Co., Ltd. (Chinese National Geography Abroad Publish Centre) with the approval of the Guangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (GAGOC). The publisher held a press conference at the Garden Hotel in Guangzhou on Monday (October 18) and donated 5,000 copies to GAGOC.
The "Scenic Splendour of China" Asian Games Album showcases China's scenic spots as well as natural and cultural heritage with photos, introductions, travel journals and comments by experts, combining the most beautiful sceneries with the Asiad theme and exhibiting to the world a beautiful China, an inclusive Guangzhou and a grand Asian Games in both Chinese and English.
"Scenic Splendour of China" was a special edition published in 2005 to commemorate the 55th anniversary of Chinese National Geography, China's leading magazine on geography and culture. Over 200 experts and academicians spent eight months evaluating the most beautiful places in China under various categories. The album is now available in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, French, German, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Arabic and Italian versions.
