Indian football team prepares for the Asiad

NEW DELHI - The Indian football team is preparing for a kick off of their Asian Games campaign against Kuwait on Nov 7 at the Huadu Stadium, Guangzhou, reported the Press Trust of India on Wednesday.

India will lock horns with defending champions Qatar in their second Group D match on Nov 9, while they play their last league match against Singapore on Nov 11.

The team, coached by Sukhvinder Singh, had left for Guangzhou early on Oct 25 to acclimatize with the conditions and play practice matches, said the report.

The team had a preparatory camp at Cuttack, Orissa in eastern India from Oct 6 to 24.
