Soni breaks 100m breast world record

ROME: American Rebecca Soni broke a world record in the 100 m women's breaststroke semifinals at the swimming world championships on Monday.

Soni timed one minute 4.84 to beat Australian Leisel Jones's previous record of 1:05.09.
