China trounces Macao 10-0 in Asian U-19

LIUZHOU - China defeated Chinese Macao 10-0 on Monday in the fourth round Group F matches of the AFC U-19 Championship in Liuzhou, south of China.

The big-margin win sent the host to the next stage of the Asian qualifying round for the World Youth Championship.

Striker Gaodi opened the scoring in the second minute and added two more on nine minutes.

Tall forward Tanyang net twice in the 12th and 16th minute, before Wuxi and Yuyang each added a goal to round off the first half.

In the second half, Gaodi scored his fourth and fifth goals while Li Zhichao cheered the host fans with a long drive.

China coach Liu Chunming said he was very satisfied that his players could implement his guidance excellently during the whole match.

Earlier the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) defeated Malaysia 3-1 at the same venue.

China will play DPRK on Wednesday in the last round of the tournament.

"The whole team will be well prepared, and I hope my players would show their best performance in the match," Liu said.
