Celtic insist Nakamura staying despite reports(Reuters)Updated: 2007-06-28 08:53 GLASGOW, June 27 - Scottish Premier League champions Celtic said on Wednesday Japanese midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura was committed to the club despite reports to the contrary. In a statement on the club's Web site (www.celticfc.net), Celtic dismissed newspaper reports that Nakamura was ready to quit by exercising a "get-out" clause in his contract for a transfer fee of one million pounds ($2 million). "Celtic can state categorically that there is absolutey no 'get-out' clause in Shunsuke Nakamura's contract," it said. The player's agent, Robert Takuda, is also quoted on the site saying: "I would like to stress that these reports about Naka are complete nonsense. "Naka is currently preparing for the Asian Cup but straight after this (he) is very much looking forward to returning to Celtic. "He and his family are very happy at Celtic and very happy in Glasgow. He has no reason to go anywhere else."
