Carlo Ancelotti, the head coach of Italy's AC Milan, has said soccer star Ronaldo will likely make his first start for the Serie A team this weekend.

During a recent Internet discussion on his team's Web site, Ancelotti said that Ronaldo may start for his new team when it plays in the Italian city of Siena on Saturday, Italy's ANSA news agency said.

"Ronaldo will probably be in the starting line-up," Ancelotti said. "He is working well in training. He has improved, he is highly motivated and he is the most talented footballer in the game at the moment."

The famed Brazilian soccer player has previously played for Barcelona, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

Ronaldo made a limited AC Milan debut off the bench during the team's 2-1 win over Livorno last Sunday, and says he is prepared to start.

"I'm ready for Siena," he said. "I can play from the first minute if Ancelotti wants me to."

AC Milan is Serie A's seventh place team.
