Led by former world champion Lin Yi- chun and young potential Huang Yi-ling, Chinese Taipei shooters have set a modest two-gold target at the Asian Games.

The 13-strong squad, including seven men and six women, will compete in the men's 50 meters pistol, double trap, skeet as well as the women's 10m air pistol, double trap and skeet.

The Doha Games offers 44 team and individual gold medals in shooting.

Lin, double trap winner at the 2002 world championships in Helsinki, Finland, had been considered one of the hottest title contenders at the Busan Asian Games and Athens Olympic Games. But she finished both games empty-handed.

"At the age of 25, I'm a veteran who just hopes to give my best shots and enjoy competition. I don't care about the result," Lin said at the Athlete Village on Monday.

While veterans like Lin kept low tone, young talent Huang Yilin is regarded a raising star for Chinese Taipei.

"Our team expects to win one or two golds. But I don't feel the pressure," said the 21-year-old Huang, the 10m air pistol bronze medalist at the East Asian Games last year.

"There are very competitive rivals, like mainland Chinese athletes, South Koreans, Mongolians, " Huang added.
