China's Chen Yu saw off top-seeded Dane Peter Gade in straight sets at 24-22
and 21-15 to win his berth in the final.
And later, Chen Hong secured the gold for China by defeating Denmark's other
hopeful Kenneth Jonassen 18-21, 21-19, and 21-16.
The women's singles will be another all-Chinese affair as both Jiang Yanjiao
and Lu Lan succeeded in winning their matches over Dutch Yao Jie and Tine
Rasmussen of Denmark respectively.
Although the Chinese team has secured the singles titles, the grand prix saw
the rare case of no Chinese pairs entering the doubles finals.
