The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games mascots, the Five Friendlies, will soon live up to their name by starring in a cartoon series about friendship. ¡¡¡¡

The series will tell the tale of how the five creatures came together and formed firm friendships, even though they come from different areas of China. ¡¡

Around 50 million yuan has been invested in the series, which is currently being promoted under its working title "The Friendlies' Olympics Tour". ¡¡¡¡

The organizers are currently offering one million yuan worth of awards for ideas and screenplays, which is scheduled to air around the start of the Olympic games. ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
