PARIS -- Japanese driver Yuji Ide will not race in any further Formula One events this season after his driver license was retracted by the sports ruling body on Wednesday.

The International Automobile Federation revoked his licence for concerns over his ability to race in the F1.

Ide, who drives for the Super Aguri F1 team, has been involved in a series of mishaps and slow laps throughout the season.

In the last race, he sent Christijan Albers into a crash in which Albers' car rolled over several times. He was also by far the slowest man on the grid for the three races he competed in.

Ide will be replaced at the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix and Monaco Grand Prix by Franck Montagny. Enditem
