The People's Liberation Army Navy (PLA Navy) hospital ship Peace Ark left China on Tuesday to offer medical services to Chinese escort missions in the Gulf of Aden, with a total of 428 officers including 100 medical workers.
The ship will also visit Djibouti, Tanzania, Kenya, the Seychelles and Bangladesh to provide medical treatment to local people and carry out medical exchanges.
According to the PLA Daily, the mission will last for three months and cover 15,000 sea miles.
