LOS ANGELES - Taylor Swift, Beyonce and the Black Eyed Peas will perform at the Grammy Awards in January on a night when they are all expected to go home with an armful of trophies.
Country music band Lady Antebellum and R&B singer Maxwell will also be among those performing live on the music industry's biggest night on January 31, when the Grammy Awards are handed out in a live televised show, broadcaster CBS said on Tuesday.

Swift, 20, whose "Fearless" album is the biggest seller in the United States in 2009 but who has never won a Grammy, follows with eight nominations.
Hip hop band Black Eyed Peas and Maxwell -- making a return to the music business after an eight-year hiatus -- are each up for six awards. Lady Antebellum is competing for two awards in the best country song ("I Run to You") and best country band categories.
Additional performers at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles will be announced at a later date.
Britney Spears is hoping that before 2009 ends, her boyfriend Jason Trawick will pop the question, or so says In Touch Weekly.
