Updated: 2009-11-13 11:42 An exhibition, Friends, Partners and Brothers, has 182 photos of natural landscapes, people's lives, arts and culture, and the latest developments in Africa, as seen through the lens of nine renowned Chinese photographers. The show is based on their visits to nine African countries last December, including Benin, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gabon, Malawi, Mali, Rwanda, Senegal and Tanzania. For most of them it was their first trip to the continent. "It has always been a dream of mine to photograph Africa. The trip felt like a mysterious adventure. The age-old civilization, the strong and saturated colors and people's unrestrained emotions kept me busy photographing. Even after returning home, I couldn't help but be inspired," said Wang Wenlan, one of the photographers. The visits were carried out under the framework of the Beijing Action Plan (2007-09) of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. 8:30 am-4 pm, until Nov 15 except Monday East Hall, 4/F, Military Museum of Chinese People's Revolution, 9 Fuxing Lu, Beijing |
