Cat cafe hopes to protect stray animals

A cat cafe has opened in Harbin, in Northeast China. The decor is all feline. There are 16 cats there, including a signature tabby and some street cats.

Ice on the way

Workers drag a big chunk of ice out of the Songhua River on Saturday in preparation for the annual Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival in the capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province. The river ice is about 35 centimeters thick. The festival is expected to open to the public later this month.
