Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality and Tianfu New Area in Sichuan province will establish cooperative partnerships among their 34 primary and middle schools, according to local news reports on Aug 18.

The move aims to promote institutional innovation in education, achieve the sharing of courses and teaching resources, and intensify teaching and research exchange activities among the 34 schools.

On International Children's Book Day on April 2, children from Yunjin Primary School based in Liangjiang and Luhu Primary School based in Tianfu New Area read nursery rhymes together through a cloud platform.

In addition, the two schools will work together to explore new ways of sharing other remote sharing platforms, e-book libraries, and high-quality teaching resources, said Li Jie, president of Yunjin Primary School.

In June, the Chongqing-Chengdu Economic Zone Family Education Seminar was held in Chongguang Primary School in Liangjiang, calling on parents, schools and communities to coordinate efforts to optimize homework design and strengthen communications.
