A large-scale immersive and interactive digital art show launched by Phoenix Satellite Television (Phonenix TV) and the Palace Museum will be held on August 27 and run for a year in Lijia Smart Park, Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality, according to a news conference held in Liangjiang on July 27.
The digital art show is based on one of China's classic paintings, A Panorama of Rivers and Mountains, which is an 11.91 meter-long landscape painted by Wang Ximeng in the Song Dynasty (960-1279). The show reproduces the landscape with advanced digital technologies and creates vivid interactions with visitors by means of digital projection and virtual reality.
Fusing traditional cultural elements with modern art designs, the show will create an unprecedented cultural experience space for visitors to feel the charm of Chinese culture.
The exhibition features eight display areas, with more than 1,000 square meters of projection area and 2,000 sq m of display area.
Visitors can search key words on the Maoyan app to book art show tickets in advance.
