As a clean energy source with the biggest potential for development, hydrogen has received global attention. Liangjiang New Area is now attaching more importance to the field of hydrogen vehicles to meet the requirements of the government's work report, in which environmentally friendly development is highlighted to ensure energy security and sustainable development.

Soon after Liangjiang's government issued its guiding opinions on hydrogen vehicles, Changan Auto announced that its hydrogen SUV (CS75 multi-purpose vehicle) had been listed as a new auto vehicle product by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on March 8.

According to a head of the company, promoting NEVs has become the auto industry's common goal. This is in direct response to the central government plan to achieve carbon neutrality and reduce carbon emissions.

Saic-iveco Hongyan Commercial Vehicle Co is another company that spares no efforts in exploiting hydrogen energy. Qiao Yun, director of the company's new energy platform, said the firm has established partnerships with two giants in the field – SHPT Co and CATL Co – to develop a powerful supply system.

The hydrogen-related industrial chain will be further strengthened by construction programs invested by Mingtian Hydrogen Energy Technology Co. The engineering center in Southwest China, the car maintenance center, the core components R&D center and the manufacturing base for fuel cells will start construction in June.
