During the 2020 China Top 500 Enterprises Summit held from Sept 27 to 28 in Zhengzhou, the capital of Central China's Henan province, the list of China's top 500 enterprises in 2020 was released.

A total of 15 companies from Chongqing were listed, which is one company more than last year. Chongqing's ranking sees the municipality tied with Sichuan province for areas with the most listed companies among 12 provinces, regions and cities in West China.

Among the 15 Chongqing enterprises, seven are private companies and eight are State-owned companies, reflecting Chongqing's achievements in encouraging private business development in recent years.

The 15 companies are involved in various industries – including the manufacturing, real estate, construction, commerce and financial service industries, showing Chongqing's progress in adjusting its economic structure and promoting industrial upgrading.

Also, 12 companies from Chongqing made the list of China's top 500 manufacturing enterprises in 2020, and 23 companies made the list of China's top 500 service enterprises in 2020.

The companies that made the list of China's top 500 enterprises in 2020 should reach annual business revenue of 35.96 billion yuan ($5.30 billion), which is 3.63 billion yuan more than last year's list.
