The Chongqing Liangjiang Aircraft Design Institute (CLARDI) recently released the prototype of the unmanned drone R-100 and the production unmanned drone R20 in Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality on Nov 23.
CLARDI specializes in special unmanned drone design and the R&D of advanced composites. To date, CLARDI has R-20, R-100E, and R-100-H unmanned drones, plus one hybrid power device, all made of self-developed advanced composites.
The maximum take-off weight of the R-20 is 20 kilograms and the dash speed can reach 130 kilometers per hour. The R-100-E and R-100-H, which are equipped with hybrid power devices, have a maximum take-off weight of 100 kg and a dash speed of 160 km/h.
All the unmanned drones developed by CLARDI have full autonomous all-terrain flight, autonomous course reversal, smart target tracking, and night flight functions.
CLARDI is equipped with a R&D team with aviation, composite, and unmanned drone experts from China and Hungary to cooperate with a R&D institute in Hungary. In addition, the staff members and equipment are being transferred from Hungary's R&D institute to Liangjiang.
To date, Liangjiang has attracted 10 key projects and formed a whole industry chain integrating manufacturing, operation, service, maintenance, finance, informatization, and aviation culture.
UK trade commissioner for China praised Chongqing as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
