Before the launch of 5G smart phones, Chongqing citizens can experience the 5G network on Zhongshansi Road, Yuzhong district, which is covered by free 5G WiFi provided by China Telecom's Chongqing branch.

The download rate under the 5G WiFi network can reach 300 to 400 megabyte per second, which is 100 times faster than the 4G network.

China Telecom Chongqing branch plans to lay out a 5G WiFi network covering five major business areas in downtown Chongqing this year.

Citizens and tourists can experience 5G WiFion Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, the core business area in Chongqing, with 4G smart phones starting in May.
